Best Bet Season Record: 20-19

Bryan Woo will be on the mound for one of my Best Bets. But this ain't about him. This is about Julio Yarnel Rodríguez being a man on fire. This is literally him right now.

In all seriousness he's been on a historic tear. The 17/22 stretch over 4 games has punctuated a great 2nd half of the season. He's slashing .347/.399/.587 since the All-Star break. The line is awesome but the traditional numbers have been even better. Grounding into only 1 double play since the break and not a single one in August is awesome. He's been walked intentionally 3 times compared to none in the first half. He's also 6 doubles off his first half mark, sitting at 12, and 5 home runs off his 1st half mark, sitting at 8. He's swiped 11 more bags and is chasing 40 for the season. Julio is balling.

The rest of the Mariners are banging too. The offense has been the 3rd best in baseball since July 14th, trailing only the Braves and the Cubs. Slashing .262/.339/.459 as a team is sick. Cal Raleigh is smacking dingers, JP Crawford has been having a sneaky great season, Eugenio Suarez can be that dude, and Ty France is starting to go. Once Kelenic is back from injury the lineup has a chance to be special. They just put a 14 spot on the White Sox, and I know Mike Clevinger is a good pitcher, but man, if Framber Valdez can get shelled by the Mariners, everybody can.

I swear to God this isn't a Bryan Woo best bet, he just happens to be starting.
