NFL Best Bet Season Record: 76-86-0
THE LAST QUARTER OF THE SEASON IS UPON US. LET'S WIN SOME BEST BETS
Minnesota Vikings(+6.5) @ Green Bay Packers
DK -112
FD -115
In a divisional game, I just don't think a blowout will happen. The Packers offense without Tucker Kraft is lethargic. It makes defenses able to hone in on the army of mediocre receivers. Jordan Love is too inconsistent to do well against creative defensive coordinators.
While JJ McCarthy has been disappointing in his first handful of starts, there's a chance he can still grow and get better week over week. Not only that, there is a massive special teams disparity. The Vikings have consistently good special teams while the Packers have consistently bad special teams. I like the Vikings keeping it close.
Indianapolis Colts(ML) @ Kansas City Chiefs
DK -115
FD -112
I can't pick the Chiefs against good teams anymore. Their last win over a good team was at home against Detroit when the refs refused to call penalties on the Chiefs while they took an opening drive touchdown off the board when they should not have. Last week they lost to a QB that has yet to put a full game together in nearly 36 starts. This week they face a loaded, well coached, roster that by DVOA, is the class of the AFC.
DVOA also likes the Chiefs because they rarely ever go backwards on offense, but the defense looking slow and the special teams being bad will not be good against the number 1 offense and number 6 special teams. The Colts defense can be moved on, but they've only had one game with Sauce Gardner on the roster, so there's a real chance that they become a stronger unit over the season.
All in all, the Colts are a better team, and coming off a bye, Jonathan Taylor should be ready rip off chunk after chunk.
New England Patriots(-7.5) @ Cincinnati Bengals
DK -108
FD -110
The Patriots have too many good players on offense for the Bengals to keep up in a potential track meet. This would've been the case with Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase playing. Without their two best players, it allows a Patriots defense down Milton Williams to hone in on Tee Higgins. Christian Gonzales gets to line up with him one on one and now the defense gets to fly around and cause havoc. I think that be it through a Drake Maye air raid or a Treyveon Henderson trench raid, the Pats dominate.
Pittsburgh Steelers(ML) @ Chicago Bears
DK +130
FD +126
I have no idea why, but I'm feeling a Tomlin spot. Road dogs against a team that would have a 3-7 record if you flip the one score games screams Tomlin spot. So Stillers.
New York Jets @ Baltimore Ravens(-14.0)
DK -105
FD -106
Good team against a bad team. Next.
New York Giants @ Detroit Lions(-13.5)
DK -110
FD -106
The Lions have won their last 11 games after suffering a loss. Make of that what you will.
Seattle Seahawks(-12.5) @ Tennessee Titans
DK -110
FD -115
The Seahawks are going to win by 30+. I'd be shocked otherwise.
Jacksonville Jaguars(-2.5) @ Arizona Cardinals
DK -105
FD -110
I know that no one really trusts Jacksonville, but I can't in good faith trust the Cardinals to win a game outright against a team that had what should be a season changing win against the Chargers. The Cardinals are just having the worst season imaginable for them, and man, I can't pick them.
Cleveland Browns @ Las Vegas Raiders(-3.5)
DK -108
FD -108
Doom and Despair against Abject Agony. I'm going with Abject Agony.
Philadelphia Eagles @ Dallas Cowboys OVER 47.5
DK -120 FD -115
By all accounts, this game should be played in the 20s at a minimum. The Cowboys defense is bad enough for the Eagles to take advantage and the Cowboys offense is good enough to put up points on any defense. Should be a really fun game.
Atlanta Falcons @ New Orleans OVER 40.5
DK -112
FD -112
This is a lot more doom and despair. HOWEVER, I've see both Kirk Cousins and Tyler Shough play competent football. I like the over.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Los Angeles Rams(-7.0)
DK -112
FD -110
Hammer and Nail. The Rams are the best team in the NFL and have looked it all season. The Buccs are on a downward spiral and they won't be coming out of it tonight.
