Season Long Best Bets to Track around the League

This year for the season preview, I'm just going to call out some bets I think should have yes kept on them prior to game 1.

MVP

Any of Joe Burrow, Josh Allen, or Lamar Jackson at +600.

The MVP will be one of these three QB's. The determining factors will be the caliber of defense each team has and the team record. My personal money would be on Joe Burrow. If the Bengals win 11 games, he throws for 4000 yards and 35 TDs, and the defense is bottom half again, the narrative is in his favor.

Defensive Player of the Year

Aidan Hutchinson +750

Aidan Hutchinson has the narrative working for him. He was going to win DPOY last year barring to the season ending injury. If he sniffs 20.0 sacks I think he runs away with DPOY, especially since Micah Parsons is already having injury concerns

Offensive Player of the Year

Justin Jefferson +1600

Just too good of odds to pass up. If he sniffs 1600 yards with double digit touchdowns as JJ McCarthy's binky he'll run away with the award.

Comeback Player of the Year

Trevor Lawrence +500

With NFL voters, they don't like stacking awards. I think that with Aidan Hutchinson he will win DPOY OR Comeback player of the year, and with me thinking that Hutch will win DPOY, I think that if Trevor leads Jacksonville to a division title he's going to run away with the award.

Coach of the Year

Pete Carroll +1600

In terms of certainty, if the Patriots or Bears make the playoffs the coach of the year will go to Mike Vrabel or Ben Johnson. In terms of how the voters operate, Pete Carroll has the best value. The Raiders have a top 10 starting QB in the NFL in Geno Smith. They have one of the best players period in Maxx Crosby. They just drafted who everybody agrees is a generational talent in Ashton Jeanty. All they need to do is make the most of their last place schedule and all of a sudden the Raiders are a playoff team and Pete's COTY

Defensive Rookie of the Year

Abdul Carter +225

Sometimes the best bet is the obvious bet. Abdul Carter is playing on the same defensive line as Dexter Lawrence and Brian Burns. He's never going to be focal point of the offensive coaching staff. He should be able to use his bend and speed on 1v1 matchups to rack up the sacks necessary to win the award.

Offensive Rookie of the Year

Cam Ward +350

All he has to do is get the Titans to 6-8 wins. Easier said than done, but still, he just needs to look solid and he'll win it barring a truly superb season from Ashton Jeanty.

Super Bowl Champion

Buffalo Bills +600 OR Cincinnati Bengals +2500

In terms of certainty, I think the Bills have the inside track. In terms of great value, the Bengals have it. They have the coaching and QB experience, all they need to do is be average on defense.

Thanks for reading everybody! Let's have a great season.
