MLB Best Bet Season Record: 51-64

This bet is a strength on weakness bet. Dylan Cease has not been as good as in year's past, but aside from two incredibly poor starts against the Dodgers and Athletics, he's been a perfectly serviceable front end starter. His biggest weakness has been and always will be his walk rate. Men on base means trouble. Good thing for Cease and the Friars is that the Royals have the lowest BB% in all of MLB. Of their qualified batters, only Bobby Witt Jr, Maikel Garcia, and Vinnie Pasquantino have OBPs above .300, which is putrid. Noah Cameron is a good pitcher, but I'm not sure he can make up for such a bad lineup in a pitcher's park. Cease should be able to generate weak contact and swings and misses while a red hot Xander Bogaerts and MVP candidate Manny Machado help generate enough offense to give a solid Padres team a comfortable win for the best bet.
