I'm not goign to pretend I've watched either of these teams this season. HOWEVER. KenPom has UMBC as the better team and in these types of matchups it's safest to side with KenPom, which means a best bet on the Golden Retrievers.

The Longhorns have the best player on the floor. Dailyn Swain is a very good player and NC State has been struggling. 3-7 down the stretch where the 3 wins are Virginia Tech, a banged up UNC and Pitt are not great. Getting mauled by UVA, Duke, and Louisville shows the quality the Wolf Pack are bringing, so I'm going with Texas to punch their ticket to the Round of 64.
