The season is young but the Mets have an incredibly troubling trend following them. They have not scored more than 4 runs in a game since the 1st game of the season where O'Neil Cruz gifted the Mets a 5 run 1st inning.

While the Giants had a rough start to 2026 by getting swept by the Yankees, they bounced back by winning a series against the Padres and there was an offensive eruption in game 2 where they put up 9 runs.

Heading into tonight, I have a hard time picking the Mets to win given they weren't shut down by excellent pitchers. Andre Pallante and Matthew Liberatore aren't exactly Clemens and Pettite. Robbie Ray is a proven good, sometimes great, starter. The Giants should be able to keep it clean and win with some relative ease, making them the best bet.
