The Guard Dawgs have had a rough couple of series but it's not because of Parker Messick. He has posted a 1.76 ERA, 0.88 WHIP, 2.54 FIP, and a staggering 82.7% LOB rate. The Guard Dawgs have also been very good at hitting lefties, which Steven Matz is. Cleveland is 8th in all MLB with a 108 wRC+ and a solid team slash line of .263/.330/.415.
Tampa just finished a sweep of Minnesota, which is nice, but have struggled to pitch well against good teams, like Cincinnati and Pittsburgh. I think tonight we see a similar game to their Reds and Pirates series where they get touched up by a team that can swing the stick a little. Guardians for the best bet.
