The Royals surge has seemingly ended and they've settled in to a cycle of .500 ball for about two weeks now. Detroit bounced back from giving Cleveland 3 games at home by sweeping the Giants to finish off the 7 game homestand. With Casey Mize taking the mound he should completley dominate the KC. Mize's two best pitches are his 4SEAM and Splitter and the Royals just don't hit those pitches well. They see the 8th most 4SEAMers and 13th most splitters which means they don't see it well.
The Royals fundamental issue is that outside of Bobby Witt Jr. and Maikel Garcia they've got a whole lot of nothing going offensively. The Best Bet is the Tigers pinning the Royal down while they get just enough off of Seth Lugo to nab the cover.
