The Pittsburgh Pirates as of 6/18/2025 currently only have two(2) whole batters with wRC+ above 100. Oneil Cruz and Andrew McCutchen have the honor and their respective slash lines are .223/.344/.442 and .262/.348/.412. This is an issue, obviously as the Pirates are 29-45 scoring an average of 3.18 runs per game. They're also an abysmal 10-26 away from PNC Park, which doesn't really make sense because PNC's Park factor is 99 with only doubles occurring at an above average rate.
Andrew Heaney takes the mound for the Buccos and while he's not awful, he's constantly giving up home runs. The Pirates will need to manufacture runs but they won't be able to as Tarik Skubal will probably be on no hitter watch. Motor City Kitties of a different coat for the best bet.
