I know Mitch Keller is a very good starting pitcher. This just a fact that the Pittsburgh Pirates have great starting pitching. The issue is that their bullpen is not very good with only Tim Mayza and Justin Lawrence pitching as befits their station. So Mitch Keller basically needs to go 7 full to give the Buccos a fighting chance as their offense sure won't give them a chance. Only 3 batsmen have wRC+ over 100 among their everyday players and that won't cut it against Framber Valdez. Valdez has been his usual self in 2025 and in particular he has been stellar in his last 5 starts. He's tossed 37.0 innings of 1.70 ERA ball and there's no reason to think that won't continue against such an anemic offense. Houston's offense is nothing special but they should have enough to get a 3-1 win tonight in the steel city for the best bet.
