The Cubs started to crawl out of their spiral only to drop a series to St. Louis and drop a series to the Athletics. The A's are a feisty team that can really do damage, their defect is their pitching staff. Luckily for the A's, the Cubs can't hit at all at the moment. Aside from some uncharacteristic explosions against the Pirates of 10 and 7 runs, they have scored only 1 run in 4 of their last 10 games.

While the A's cannot pitch as a team, they do have some decent arms like JT Ginn. Ginn has a 1.48 ERA in his last 5 starts and has had multiple 8 inning performances. He's really solid and should give the A's bats enough room to rough Shot Imanaga, who has lost his last 4 starts in a row and has a 7.22 ERA over his last 5.

All in all, the A's offense is better than the Cubs and they have a better starting pitcher toeing the rubber for them tonight. Love them for the Game of the Day.
