The Angels have been playing some good baseball of late. After dropping 3 of 4 to the Athletics they swept the Rangers and took 2 of 3 from the Tigers. The issue is they are visiting a fortress. The Rays are a stellar 34-19 on the season so far. They are a mediocre 15-14 away from their friendly confines and have turned the Trop into a fortress, posting an MLB best 19-5 at home.
Nick Martinez in particular has been outstanding. He has posted a 4-1 record, 1.51 ERA, 59.2 IP, 1.11 WHIP, 0.60 HR/9, and a 92.9% LOB rate. He's been really pitching well, The Rays are awesome at home, and the Angels are not very good and are 10-19 away from LA. All in all, the Rays make an easy pick for Game of The Day.
