The Reds are a mediocre team stuck in the basement while the Rockies are a truly terrible team. The Reds are getting bullied in division as they are 6-22 against their rivals. The math on that means they are 38-30 against everybody else and the Rockies sure are everybody else. I think we see Cincy walk away with a cover.

Miami Marlins @ Milwaukee Brewers(-1.5)

The fish have been excellent since June, but they still have a weakness in their lineup; they are mediocre against left handed pitching. a wRC+ of 99. Shane Drohan is a left handed pitcher for the Brewers and has actually been twirling it for Milwaukee of late. I know that Miami is trotting out Max Meyer who has great traditional counting stats but his baseball savant page is quite middling and his fastball is very poor. He throws his sweeper and slider more than the old number 1.

Milwaukee is 5th in wRC+ against right handed batters with a 109 and Milwaukee has no obvious scouting report. Their whole lineup is comfortable facing all types of pitchers and they'll punish hanging breaking pitches and mediocre fastballs alike. I really like Milwaukee for the cover here.

Sometimes a game of the day is as simple as a good pitcher in the 2nd leg of a double header. Braxton Ashcraft is a very good pitcher and Logan Allen is making his first start of the year against a team fresh off a sweep of the Milwaukee Brewers. Sometimes, it's just that easy to pick.

Washington Nationals @ Athletics OVER 10.5

The Nats just put up a 23 spot and I don't think they're out of runs for the series. JT Ginn is the A's best arm but I don't think that matters. I think that we'll see a another fireworks festival as Zach Littell is a very bad starting pitcher in his own right and the A's are more than capable of big innings. Love the over in this game.

Detroit Tigers(-1.5) @ Los Angeles Angels

As mentioned on my live stream on kick.com/makemoneywithmace , the Detroit Tigers are the team to watch in the American League post break. They came into the season with very high expectations, they fell flat out of the starting gate, and now they've been playing very good ball for a month and are healthier. The Angels are a no good, very bad team and I expect the Tigers to continue their creep into the playoffs.
