Bare minimum, I have seen the Tampa Bay Rays play consistent, winning baseball against bad teams. They've done it twice already with two big wins over the Blue Jays this series. I've also seen the Rays cover 5/8 games against the Blue Jays in 2026. Griffin Jax has pitched well over his past 5, some of which have been against mediocre to good teams.
The Blue Jays are just a mess meandering about in a lost season. They're needing to use an opener today and he is a good one for what it's worth. I just don't think that they have the stuff this year. They are 1-7 against Tampa this year and have dropped 3 straight series. All of these reasons add up to a Tampa Bay game of the day.
