Shane Baz has been a monster so far in the 2025 campaign. He has a 1.42 ERA over 19 IP with 27 Punch Outs and a superb 0.84 WHIP. He pounds the zone with a fastball that sits at 97 MPH which sets up a devastating Curveball and Change Up combo that batters are hitting a combined .055 so far in 2025.
Styles make fights. The Yankees are a terrible fastball hitting team. Only the Pirates, Mets, and Astros are worse with the supposed Bronx Bombers getting hits off the ole number 1 at a 28.5%. The Yankees are above average when it comes to hitting the curve and change, but being top half of the league, which is really just Aaron Judge and Ben Rice, is not enough against Shane Baz, who after years of injury is flashing the Cy Young stuff he was traded for. Rays for the best bet.
